Contact and connection elements for low-voltage and medium-voltage cable networks



The programme includes bolt and compression type terminals, connectors, and cable-lugs. Assembly tools like, for example, manual and hydraulic compression tools round off the programme. But nothing is so good that it can't be made even better. That's why we regularly set new standards with our innovative solutions. With ISICOMPACT and SICON, for example.

1968: PFISTERER registered the patent for a “compact tap connector”, “SCK” for
short, or “clamping ring”.
Today: The patent has become a bestseller. Now it's hard to imagine Central
European LV networks without SCK.
But nothing is so good that it can't be made even better. ISICOMPACT features a
new generation of clamping rings.
ISICOMPACT. Four Tab Connections with
only One Bolt!
One for all. ISICOMPACT accepts main conductors in the range from 70 – 185 mm² and tap conductors from 6 – 70 mm² cross-section and can be used for all cable types.
Easy insertion. Tap conductors are inserted from the side; the time-consuming insertion from the front is eliminated.
Safer all round. ISICOMPACT is made from fully-insulating polyamide. That means: even more safety with live working.
Less is more. Only one bolt to connect all contact elements.
All under control. The captive stiffening ribs stop the contact plate penetrating into the insulation before the nut is tightened.
Permanent contact. A shear nut acts as a “built-in” torque-spanner to ensure the optimal tightening torque. The pressure plate is spring-loaded and so ensures continuous contact force.
No half measures. The assembly process is complete when the projecting bolt shears off. So you can forget about incomplete connections with ISICOMPACT! Mistakes are eliminated.

Screw technology with a difference!
The problem: The design strength of the multi-stage shear bolt – the integral predetermined breaking points – is at the same time its decisive weakness. Each breaking point interrupts the load-carrying thread, and the maximum clamping force cannot be achieved. A further disadvantage is that the stages must be very accurately matched to the cable conductor used – otherwise the bolt will break either too high or too low.
The solution: The special design feature of these bolts is that there are no predetermined break points in the thread. This ensures optimum thread loading for any range of cross-sections. The bolt always breaks at the surface of the clamp body.

2DIREKT brings safety and reliability together, where they belong: two types of terminal in a single body! The clamping channel and threaded hole for the clamping screw are identical. So the copper and aluminium conductor can be connected horizontally or vertically to the secondary side of distribution transformers, as required. The conductors are connected directly with no additional preparation, such as cable lugs, sleeves etc. That means: less time and effort on assembly, less susceptibility to errors, lower contact resistances as the number of contact is minimised. The patented screw even clamps fine stranded conductors without shearing individual strands. without damage.

A new bolt for low-voltage connectors facilitates safe, reliable use even with the smallest ranges. When the bolt is tightened, the pressure plate – in contact with the conductor – does not turn with the bolt. So even small conductors are optimally secured without damage.
