PFISTERER Holding AG welcomes Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss as a new member of the Management Board alongside Stephan Götschel. Dr. Kurfiss has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of power transmission technology. As of 1 January 2020, he assumes overall responsibility for sales and technology at PFISTERER.

In a joint EHV (Extra High Voltage) project with Hellenic Cables SA, PFISTERER is using IXOSIL high-voltage joints and outdoor terminations to ensure the safe connection of a new land-sea cable link to the Peloponnese.

On Friday 6 September, having left a wake of devastation in the Bahamas, Hurricane Dorian made landfall in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, as a Category 1 storm. Tim McLaughlin, Pfisterer NAM Sales Director, played a part in the relief effort, providing rapid assistance after 190,000 people in the local area were stuck without power.

Westnetz, one of Germany’s largest distribution network operators, is building a 17 km underground cable system in Hunsrück as part of their efforts to support the transition to renewable energy. This new high-voltage cable will transport renewable wind power from turbines at Hunsrück to the region's urban centres.
