YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

INDUSTRIAL-TECHNICAL TRAINING

A perfect combination of theory and practice for anyone with a keen sense of imagination who enjoys working with their hands - that's industrial-technical training at PFISTERER. You’ll spend the majority of your time in our training workshop, on the machines with which we manufacture the products of the future. There you’ll learn everything you need for your future, for example how to handle steel, aluminum and other re-cyclable materials with exact precision. In block courses at the vocational school, you will be taught the theoretical knowledge that will help you carry out your practical work even better.

e.g. as a cutting machine operator

COMMERCIAL TRAINING

If you have an interest in business and want to learn about the economic aspects that need to be addressed in order for an industrial company to be as successful as PFISTERER , our commercial apprenticeship is ideal for you. It is as diverse as our product world. You’ll get a taste of our purchasing, sales, HR, controlling and marketing departments, among others. You’ll be involved everywhere. And at the end of your training, during which you will spend one or two days a week at vocational school learning additional specialist knowledge, you can make your decision: Which area is right for you?

e.g. as an industrial clerk

DUAL STUDY

Studying and gaining fascinating insights into a company at the same time? It’s possible. And it's worth-while, because it makes you an all-rounder. Technical expertise, managerial knowledge, best-practice knowledge and concentrated theoretical expertise - the degree program at the excellent Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) gives you this strong overall package. You will study in small course groups with very good supervision and receive an internationally recognized Bachelor degree at the end. At our company, you will rotate through departments such as Purchasing, Human Re-sources, Controlling or Development and Testing - and will therefore be ideally positioned for a future with us.

FAQs

What does a promising application look like?

  • You should always have your CV and your last two school reports ready, as well as certificates of internships if you have done any.

What is the best way to apply?

  • All our applications are processed via the online application portal, so applications by e-mail or post are no longer necessary.

What happens to my application?

  • Once your application has been received in your applicant portal, it will be carefully checked by our HR managers and then forwarded to the relevant departments. As soon as feedback has been received from this department, you will be informed directly via your applicant portal.

How long do I have to wait?

  • We will of course do our best to process your application as quickly as possible. However, in order to ensure the necessary diligence, you should allow 1-2 weeks.

What is the “dual training system”?

  • A dual training system means that you have two training locations: on the one hand, the company where you are employed; on the other hand, the vocational school, where you attend in blocks or on a weekly basis, depending on the training course.

What is the difference between block lessons and weekly lessons?

  • Block teaching means that you are always at school for a certain period of time and then back at the company (e.g. 4 weeks at school - 4 weeks at the company). The theoretical and practical phases alternate. With weekly vocational school lessons, you will be at school for one or two days each week and at the company for the remaining days (e.g. vocational school on Mondays and Thursdays and at the company on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays). The block lessons for the machining apprenticeship take place at HeidTech in Heidenheim, while the weekly lessons for our commercial apprenticeships take place at the Johann-Philipp-Palm School in Schorndorf.
