New Energy for Better Education: PFISTERER Supports School in Tanzania

As part of our PFISTERER one World initiative, we were able to support the Aquinas Secondary School in the Mtwara region of Tanzania by helping restore its urgently needed solar power system.

Through a donation made via Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing and in cooperation with a local service provider, the 20 kW hybrid solar system was fully repaired – an important step in ensuring the school’s reliable supply of clean energy.

The repair work now enables around 480 students, 55 staff members, and five sisters to once again benefit from a dependable power supply. This ensures that classrooms, administrative offices, living quarters, the kitchen, the computer room, and the water pumps can operate without interruption. As part of the project, new batteries and a 50 kW inverter were installed, faulty components were replaced, and the solar modules were reorganized.
