Executive Board

A team with vision, expertise and experience. The members of our Executive Board have in-depth specialist knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering, sales, finance, operations and management. Their diverse expertise is complemented by many years of experience in strategic business development. Together they form a dynamic management team driven by a clear vision for the future of our company.

Johannes Linden has been the sole and group managing director of medium-sized internationally operating solution providers in the automation and mechanical engineering industry for 20 years. Since January 2023, he has been responsible for Finance and Operations at PFISTERER as Spokesman of the Executive Board.

Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss has over 20 years of experience in power transmission and distribution technology as a board member, managing director and vice president for technology, sales and production at international manufacturers of cables, cable accessories and overhead line systems. He has been in charge of Sales and Technology at PFISTERER since 2019.

Supervisory Board

Our Executive Board is supported by a knowledgeable Supervisory Board with many years of management experience in the technology environment.

The members of the Supervisory Board have expertise in the key areas of research and development, financing, digitalization, innovation, sustainability and internationalization.

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Blättchen has been an independent consultant for financing and capital market issues with an international background for over 35 years. In 2010, he founded and is currently the managing director of Blättchen Financial Advisory GmbH. He has been involved in numerous successful IPOs, FFOs and complex capital market transactions, and has served on various supervisory boards. He has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PFISTERER Holding SE since 06/2010.

Erich Schefold has more than two decades of experience in finance and corporate management. As the former Chief Financial Officer of GARDENA AG and managing director and partner at Schleich Holding GmbH, he oversaw numerous financial market transactions. Since 2018, Erich Schefold has focused on supporting start-ups and advising businesses in the areas of finance and controlling. He has been a member of the PFISTERER Supervisory Board since 09/2015, and Vice Chairman since 07/2023.

Prof. Dr. Petra Denk – who graduated in physics with distinction and holds a doctorate in natural sciences – has wide-ranging expertise in the energy industry. Since 2012, she has been director of the Institute for Systemic Energy Consulting at the University of Applied Sciences Landshut, where she advises industry, energy suppliers and local government. She became Professor of Energy and Business Management in 2009. Previously she held various management positions at E.ON. Besides her academic career, Petra Denk is a member of the supervisory board at several technology companies, at PFISTERER since 09/2015.

Matthias Benz has been Executive Vice President and Head of Global Sales and Key Account Management at ZF Friedrichshafen, an international technology group, since 2014. With three decades of experience in various key positions in corporate management, sales and finance, Matthias Benz has an impressive professional background. In addition to his operational activities, he is actively involved in various supervisory boards of international industrial companies, at PFISTERER since 09/2015.

Stefan Seipl has been a successful entrepreneur and managing director of seipl consult GmbH since 2013. He has more than three decades of experience in consulting, corporate governance and supervisory board positions. He is also Senior Advisor at First Sentier Investments, chairs the supervisory board of Fernas Group, and is a member of supervisory bodies e.g. at MVV Energie AG. As founder and managing director of enerpeak GmbH, he is actively committed to renewables. Previous roles include other management positions at major international energy companies. Dr. Seipl has been a member of the Supervisory Board of PFISTERER since 09/2021.

Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board: Karl-Heinz Pfisterer

Karl-Heinz Pfisterer, representing the third generation of the owner family, joined the company in 1971. He took over its management in 1981 – first as managing director and shareholder, then later on the Supervisory Board. He made a significant contribution to the internationalization of the business, from setting the course to developing a globally operating corporate group. After more than 50 years of dedicated service to the company, in which he played a key role both in operational management and as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Karl-Heinz Pfisterer was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board in June 2023.

Karl-Heinz Pfisterer, grandson of the company’s founder, was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board on June 29, 2023. He had been responsible for the company for over 50 years, first in operational management and then as a member of the Supervisory Board of PFISTERER Holding AG.

With the transformation into a public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft, AG) in 1999, the foundations were laid for the business to develop independently of the family. With the transformation into a Societas Europaea (SE) and the appointment of the corporate bodies in 2023, the way was paved for the independent and successful future of the PFISTERER Group. This completed the separation of family and company management. Eventually the non-profit KAP Foundation will also take over from Karl-Heinz Pfisterer as shareholder of the company.
